Dr. Philippose is board certified in Gastroenterology.
He earned his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore, India.
He did his residency in Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center, Bronx, New York. Fellowship in gastroenterology was at Louisiana State University, Shreveport. His third year of fellowship was at Louisiana State University in New Orleans where he closely worked with hepatologists and the liver transplant program at Mercy hospital. He still maintains an active interest in hepatology.
